Review on Kerastase Initialiste Advanced Scalp and Hair Treatment - The golden elixir

Have you heard of the new product from Kerastase - the Kerastase Initialiste Advanced Scalp and Hair Concentrate? Well this new revolutionary plant based technology formulation claims to give you thicker, fuller and softer, shinier appearance to your hair. OMG did I just say that you can have THICKER, FULLER, SOFTER AND SHINIER HAIR!!!

Pardon my excitement, I have had hair issues for the past few years- from hair thinning (that resulted in me having really fine hair), hair falls to the more common problems like split ends, you name it, I've got it. Seriously I'm not exaggerating here. The bottles of serums and treatment products that I have is more than my skincare products put together. I yearn of the times when I had such thick hair that my mom had to specifically tell the hair stylist - as short as possible and as thin as possible. All because everyone say I look like a lion!!!! My hair is so thick that it looks like a mane!!!

Yeap, that would be me in my younger days ( primary school) LOL!!!

Three simple rules in achieving thicker and fuller hair with Kerastase Initialiste Advanced Scalp and Hair Treatment:
1. Before application make sure that you apply directly to clean scalp i.e. after wash and towel dry hair.
2. Separate your hair to 4 sections and apply 2 pipettes (or 4 pipettes for normal hair) to your hair.
3. Massage your scalp with your finger tips.

Well personally, I'd just recommend you to have a look at their application video on youtube, it would be much easier to understand :P

Le Verdict:
After 1 month plus of using this hair product, I think its fair to say that it's only fair to say that it is FREAKING AWESOME!!! I saw results within the first few days that I used it. From today onwards I will call it the golden elixir of life. I've got stronger hair that is resistant to breakage and super soft and luxurious hair that is the envy of my girlfriends.

By the way, the product is priced at RM 180 and for the result that you will be getting, I'd say its worth the money. I'm going to get my second bottle soon!!! I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

A really BIG Thank you to Kerastase for making this happen, I'm so glad to have been invited to the event. Now I can't wait to see even better results for my hair ^o^ and here's some photos of the great stuff I had received from Kerastase Malaysia:

Great food and great products!!! what more can I ask for?

XOXO,

My own Diptyque Doll House and candle!!!

OMG - if you are a follower of MillionDollarBeauty, you'd have seen this awesome post - Weekend DIY: Build a Diptyque Doll House and receive a Diptyque candle and Voucher of RM 50. I was so excited about the dollhouse and the candle that I had printed the template and collected the candle, all in the same day LOL!!!

The Dollhouse:

It was office moving day so I was very free and it doesn't take an Einstein to build this doll house!! You can still print the template for decor purpose, its super cute ^o^ I do wish the dollhouse has more dimension because its back looks a bit flat.

The Candle:

I got my candle but I don't have my dollhouse anymore. Oh why did you have to take my creation :( There goes my plans to display my dollhouse in my office.

Love,

Sunday Mani: Etude House Dear My Party Nails (PPK007)

Its been one week since voting and the indelible ink stain is almost gone - time for a new manicure!!!! Today's nail swatch is Etude House Dear My Party Nails in PPK007 that I had bought in my recent haul. Are you ready to party people!!!!

Don't you think this looks exactly like a OPI Skyfall Collection - The Living Daylights dupe? It has similar colours and both are in hexagon shapes.

After looking at those 2 pictures, OPI definitely has a darker shade as compared to the one that I have. I'm trying to find a bottle of the Living Daylights to compare it side by side. Anyone knows where I can still get it?

Swatch:

The nail polish formulae is really good - like most of etude house's nail polish, it dries really fast. Normally you need to swatch a few times to cover your whole nail, I had only swatched it twice - by dabbing the glitters on my nails. 1. So that the formulae isn't too thick 2. It speeds up the drying time. Since this is glitter nail polish, don't forget to put on a top coat!!!! It helps keeping those buggers in place for a few days before they start to peel off. I've used OPI rapid dry Top Coat here.

I really really love my nails right now. Eventhough you may think I would look like a disco ball at the moment, its so pretty that I can't stop staring at my own fingernail!!!  What do you think of it? Yay or Nay?

Love and kisses,

Etude House Sweet Recipe Collection - Dear My Jelly Lips Talk in JPK004 (Grapefruit Orange) review

Dear lovely readers,

Here's the long-awaited review on Etude House Sweet Recipe Collection - Dear My Jelly Lips Talk in JPK004 (Grapefruit Orange) ^o^ which I had bought during the 5th Anniversary Sales on 1st May 2013. You can check out the other colour aka JPK001 from Jerine's blog.

Unlike the Princess Etoinette Collection, Etude House has kept the design as simple as possible. I think the simplicity has made the lipstick look boring like its just another lipstick with a white cover but I love the heart shape emblem on the lipstick, its super super cute!!!!

Ingredient:

Before:

After:

As you can see from the above photo, there's a slight orange-y tint on my lips. I had only put on ONE (1) Swatch of the Jelly Lipstick. Compared to the before photo - my lip looks absolutely moiturised, the lines are not so obvious and the slight coloured tint is soo natural.

MORE SWATCHes:

Top: 1 Swatch , Bottom: 2 Swatch

Likes:
1. Keeps your lips moisturised
2. Non-oily
3. It gives you a very natural look (for those who doesn't like normal coloured lipstick , this would suit you very well)
4. Long lasting - Yes it stays on your lips for at least 6 hours without fading and no more stains on my glass!!

Dislikes:
1. The smell - its very similar to cough medicine but luckily there's no lingering smell after application.
2. Expensive - if there was no promotion then I wouldn't have gotten it - RM60 for a lipstick?

My Etude House haul at the 5th Anniversary Party in Sunway Pyramid

First of all - Happy Labours Day everyone!!!!  I've been anticipating this day for a quite some time - well yes because its a holiday but most importantly today is the day that Etude House is having their 5th Anniversary celebration at both Time Square and Sunway Pyramid branches ^o^  There's buy one free one promotion in store!!! Moreover if you are the first 100 customers in store, you'll get additional free gifts!!!!!

I was so excited that I had started waiting really early in the morning with Jerine. All the staff was soo busy with the preparations.

Here's my haul of the day and the free gift:

1. Etude House BeBe Foot Mask (RM 29.90)
Well its something that I had wanted to try out and I finally got it - foot care sheet that removes keratin and korn effectively. I can't wait to try it out, my feet is in such bad condition that I had to think of ways to get rid  of the keratin. If the testing goes well then I'm going to use this 1 month before my wedding so that I'll have super nice and smooth feet!!!!

2. Etude House nail remover (for glitter nail polish) (RM12.90)
This is something to be excited about!!!! A nail remover for glitter nail polish that is f*king hard to remove. Do keep checking for a review soon :)

3. Etude House Magic Enzyme Pack Peeling (RM 65.90)
I've been searching for something that is similar to the O'slee Rosehip Peeling Gel and Living Proof Deep Cell Cleansing Gel that I had tried at the Cite Cosme Beauty Award Voting. This Gommage treatment with enzyme and yogurt can exfoliate and nourish complexion and remove oil, dirt and excess. I did a little test on the spot and loved how it works on my hand, now all I have to do is try it on my face :P

4. Etude House Sweet Recipe Collection Dear My Jelly Lips-talk (RM 59.90)
I am dying to try this limited edition secret recipe collection from Etude House and finally got myself 2 tubes!!!!

JPK004

JPK001

The free gift:

OMG doesn't the house look absolutely adorable and its in PINK!!!! They had even printed windows. chandeliers and photo frames in the inner box. Such beautiful details ^o^!!!!

So many travel size products in a bag!!!!
 from Left to Right:
1. Etude House nail polish PK011 (seriously they should rename all their nail polish to something easier to remember)
2. Lip & Eye remover
3. Real Art Cleansing Oil Moisture
4. Real Art Cleansing Oil Fresh
5. Wonder Pore 7 in 1 Total Pore Solution Freshner
6. Etude House Sweet recipe collection Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam

I'm not so interested in these as I had received the same set at the previous Etude House event but its still a good product ^o^.

Etude House Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nails in #5 Princess Marry Swatch and review

I've always wanted to create gradation or two tone nails but I always failed. It'd end up with me cleaning my nails over and over again but ever since I've attended the Etude House event in March, I fell in love with Etude House's Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nails.

Today I'll share with you one of my favourite colours from their Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nails range - #5 Princess Marry. It has a sheer orange base with gold glitters .

 There's 3x 4ml bottles in the packaging:

from the left: (Base) Blingbling beige, (Middle) Marry Gold and  (Top) Princess Gold.

I've only applied 1 coat of each in the above photo. Its super easy to apply and it doesn't take long to dry.

The final result is sooo beautiful and elegant. I'd think its a really nice nail art for wedding reception or dinner. Its not too dressy but just nice. Yay, now everyone can have easy and beautiful gradation nails!!!! Hope you enjoy it.

XOXO,

Etude House I Need You, Yogurt (Kiwi) Wash-Off pack Mask Review

Hello lovelies,

Its MONDAY again!!! Time really flies when you are busy but don't forget to take care of your body (and soul). There's no ugly woman - only lazy ones so if you are lazy to take care of yourself then eventually, you'll become U-G-L-Y  :(

Here's a quick way to re-hydrate your skin with Etude House's I Need You, Yogurt (Kiwi) that I had gotten from my recent haul ^o^

The product was quite thick with the consistency of normal yogurts that you find in the grocer but it doesn't really smell like kiwi. When I had applied it directly to my skin, I realised there was one problem - the mask was "dripping off" from my face and it annoyed the hell out of me. Luckily I had my Daiso mask sheets on stand by and it was sooo heavenly when I get to enjoy the mask.

If you have tried DIY yogurt mask - it feels exactly the same. The only difference is that this yogurt mask can be kept longer as compared to normal yogurts and it comes in different "flavours" such as strawberry, apple and peach. You've just got to love Etude House's creativity and their packaging!!
