Etude House If Story Nail Kit I: #02 Magical Spell swatch

Hello my gorgeous darlings,

Today's nail swatch is on Etude House If Story Nail Kit I: #02 Magical Spell!!! Since halloween is near and many of you don't have the time to prep your nails, this will be a really good nail polish collection to have. As always, Etude House If Story Nail Kit comes with 2 nail polishes and I have posted a swatch on the first nail polish of the collection - #01 Halloween Witch HERE.

This is Etude House If Story Nail Kit I: #02 Magical Spell

The formulae is very smooth and it doesn't clumps up but its a tad bit opaque for my liking. I had 3 swatches on and you can still see my nail line. It is more of a jelly like nail polish. The other thing I don't like about the nail polish is the glitters. The formulae was very watery and the glitters doesn't come out easily. Its still a very lovely colour but I wouldn't buy it on its own.

Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion Foundation Review in Natural Beige W13

Dear lovely readers,

I am sure all of you have been following Etude House product launches very closely. Well we all love Etude House products don't we!!! Here's the new Precious Mineral Any Cushion Foundation from Etude House.

As always, their products are just soo cute. It comes in this light peachy pink colour. I just love it when they make their products sooo girly.

The product is sealed to keeps its freshness and it comes with an extra special air puff sponge!!!

Here's a closeup of the product:

It looks like the moon craters, isn't it.

There are 2 shades available at the moment - Natural Beige W13 and/or Honey Beige W24. The one that I was provided with is Natural Beige W13.

This amazing product can be refilled!!! Just push at arrow indicated on the packaging and the white container will just pop out. I wonder if they would recycle their white container. It'd be a shame if we just throw the container out after refilling the product. We should really minimise waste.

The Full package is selling for RM 109.90.  (* I will update on the price for refills has been set by EH*) and you can find it in all Etude House branches starting this September 2013!!!!

Product Features:
A new conceptual foundation perfectly fits on the skin only with easy stamping that liquid is evenly spread in the cushion pores. It makes possible for smart and speedy makeup with 6 in 1 multi-functions of Foundation, sunscreeen, sebum powder, moisture essence and cooling.

It ingredients includes:

Hyaluronic Acid
Contains more than 1000 times of water of its mass so it supplies deep moisturising and watery texture to the skin. * Moisture Lock technique prevents loss of moisture by attracting plenty of water with hydrophilic hyaluronic acid.

Sebum Control Acid
Making soft and sleek skin through oil control as preventing greasy skin with perfect fitness on the skin

Pearl Powder
Bright and gorgeous skin finishing with pearl mineral powder which makes skin clean and clear and niacin amide that is effective for whitening

Suits all skin types

The Air Puff:

Made of Rubycell and Polyurethane, it helps apply the contents as patting lightly with the puff. It minimizes contents absorption with dual structure and it doesn't reabsorb water so it's superior  in cooling and freshness. This is soo great without wasting the contents. The puff also minimizes discoloration and cracking of the surface with moist finishing.

Benefits:
1. Sanitation
2. Thin layer on skin
3.Skin friendly

How to keep your puff clean:

1. Soak the puff in the water
2. Apply foaming cleanser or puff cleanser on the puff (Applying the cleanser after lathering)
3. Press the puff to outward from the center with two thumbs. Repeat the step in running water to clean the foams.

DON'T twist or wring the puff to prevent cracking and ripping off.

Before and After photo:

I know both photos look similar and it will feel like you are playing a game but bear with me on this. My skin condition isn't all that great when you put it up like this. I have blackheads on my nose and some enlarged pores, some acne scars on my chin, discolouration on my face (well uneven skin tone) and those brown spots on my cheeks. I can live without makeup but its just un-professional when I go to work. I don't need heavy foundation for full coverage so this precious mineral Any Cushion Foundation works quite well for me as it only pats on thin covers!!!

If you look at the after photo now, you'll notice that my skin is so much more silky and smooth. It evens out the skin tone and covers my blackheads and minimised my pores!!!

____________________________________________________
What I like about it:
1. I love the simple application. Pat and apply!!!!
2. Its cooling effect was soooooo nice that I could still feel it after 10 hours.
3. It kept my skin moisturised the whole day. No drying up and cakey feel.
4. I love the way my skin looks sooo silky and smooth. It even covered up most of the dark spots.
5. The foundation lasted the whole day!!!! I didn't even applied any powder.
6. Minimised my pores and blackheads.

What I don't like about it:
1. The recommended using time is estimated to 1 month only. For the price that they are selling, that would incur a lot of costs for most of us .
2. Its not really easy to bring it in a small purse for re-application but since it can last me so long, I don't need to bring it along with me.

____________________________________________________

I would definitely buy this product for what its worth. This might be the best product that I currently have at the moment!!! I'm going to introduce this to my mom, think she'll love this. Hope you enjoy this review guys and thank you for your support!!!

XOXO,

Etude House Nail Polish Remover #2 Extra Power (Great for glitter nail polish)

Lately, I have been posting a lot of glitter nail polish swatches on my blog and my friends and family always ask me the same question - I love glitter nail polish but how do you remove them EFFECTIVELY without the pain and hassle!!!!

Well I agree, glitter nail polish is a pain in the a***. I had always thought why would people bother to create such beautiful nail polish but doesn't develop a nail polish remover for it until I went shopping in Etude House. I found my solution with Etude House Nail Polish Remover #2 Extra Power!!!

They have 2 types of nail polish remover in the shop, just look for the one in blue @ with a No. 2 at the back of the bottle.

For the sake of people who don't know how to use nail polish remover, here's a simple tutorial just for you:

I've painted my nails in different glitter nail polishes - you can check out the swatches below:

The 3 simple steps in removing your glitter nail polish in 1 swipe ^o^ (nope i'm not exaggerating, its really EXTRA strong):

1. Wet your cotton and put it on your nail.
2. Apply some pressure over the top of the cotton and let it soak for a while
3. Remove the nail polish by pushing it outwards and in 1 swipe your nail polish is removed!!!

Here's some before and after photos (removing with 1 swipe):

The end result:

This is currently one of the best nail polish remover that I had ever owned ^o^

* ehem just for clarification - 1 bottle costs around RM 12.90 and please don't overuse the nail polish remover. The main reason why it can remove glitter nail polish effectively is because of the acetone compound in the product itself. *

Love,

Etude House If Story Nail Kit I: #01 Halloween Witch swatch

Currently i'm still obsessed with Etude House's glitter nail polish, I just can't get enough of it and I haven't finish trying all the nail polish I had bought from my last haul!!!!

This is one of the If Story Nail Kit I that I had chosen, its a halloween themed story and each nail kit comes with 2 colours. The box is just toooo cute and you won't even feel that this witch will be causing you any harm.

Today's swatch will be on #01 Halloween Witch. Its a purple jelly based glitter nail polish with silver hexagons, orange squares and small glitters etc.

I've put 2 swatch on my nail. You can do with 1 swatch but the colour looks deeper and makes it sooo much more mysterious. It feels like i'm staring into the milky way looking for a long lost galaxy.

Don't you think it looks very similar to the Mandel's Angel Nebula (without the orange squares) ^o^

XOXO,

Etude House Magic Enzyme Pack Peeling (Nutrient Rich Yogurt Gommage Peel) review

Recently I've been stocking up a lot on Etude House products. There's just so many different promotions happening at the same time (buy 1 free 1, 50% for weekends etc).  Curious about what I bought? You can have a look at my previous hauls HERE and HERE.  You can also have a look at the reviews that I've posted on their various products: My Dear Jelly Lips Talk, Nail Polishes, Cleansing Foam, Wash Off Mask .

Today’s review is all about this bottle of Magic Enzyme Pack Peeling (Nutrient Rich Yogurt Gommage Peel) from Etude House.

1 bottle of the Magic Enzyme Pack Peeling = 115ml and cost around RM 65.90. The bottle is actually made out of glass and its in my favourite colour - lilac ^o^ Maybe I should turn the bottle into a home décor item once I'm done with the product. What do you think?

The product is in liquid form. Its texture is very light, its not too runny, creamy or sticky. I'd love to say it smells like yogurt but nah - its all chemical + yogurt.
Here's the 3 simple steps to removing oil, dirt and dead skin cells effectively with Etude House Magic Enzyme Pack Peeling (Nutrient Rich Yogurt Gommage):
1. Put sufficient amount of product on your face or whichever part that you want to remove your dead skin cells.
2. When you feel the product is half dry (don't worry it only takes around 1 minute to dry if you did step 1 right), start rubbing lightly. You will have "eraser bits" forming over your skin.
3. Cleanse with water.
Ta-daa, now you have super smooth, clean and clearer skin ^o^. Use twice a week!!!

Pros:
1. It forms the rubber bits easily and removes oil, dirt and dead skin cells at the same time. You can see that my hand doesn't "shine" as much after rubbin
2. 1 bottle can really last you for very long - save on $$$$.
3. It brightens your skin

Cons:
Well doesn't have any unless you left the product on for too long and it dries up before you rub the dirt off. I think that is also why some people find it hard to use this particular products.

Honestly I think this product is a keeper. I'm soo in love with it at the moment. I'm even using it for my feet (Yeah, my main aim of getting this product was to remove dead skin cells from my feet because I walk a lot and well I just think that my feet needs a good scrubbin' and rubbin' to be baby smooth again ^o^).

*Shout Out* - Sha, if you want to try the product, let me know so i'll bring it to you :P

Love,

Sunday Mani: Etude House Dear My Party Nails (PPK007)

Its been one week since voting and the indelible ink stain is almost gone - time for a new manicure!!!! Today's nail swatch is Etude House Dear My Party Nails in PPK007 that I had bought in my recent haul. Are you ready to party people!!!!

Don't you think this looks exactly like a OPI Skyfall Collection - The Living Daylights dupe? It has similar colours and both are in hexagon shapes.

After looking at those 2 pictures, OPI definitely has a darker shade as compared to the one that I have. I'm trying to find a bottle of the Living Daylights to compare it side by side. Anyone knows where I can still get it?

Swatch:

The nail polish formulae is really good - like most of etude house's nail polish, it dries really fast. Normally you need to swatch a few times to cover your whole nail, I had only swatched it twice - by dabbing the glitters on my nails. 1. So that the formulae isn't too thick 2. It speeds up the drying time. Since this is glitter nail polish, don't forget to put on a top coat!!!! It helps keeping those buggers in place for a few days before they start to peel off. I've used OPI rapid dry Top Coat here.

I really really love my nails right now. Eventhough you may think I would look like a disco ball at the moment, its so pretty that I can't stop staring at my own fingernail!!!  What do you think of it? Yay or Nay?

Love and kisses,

Etude House Sweet Recipe Collection - Dear My Jelly Lips Talk in JPK004 (Grapefruit Orange) review

Dear lovely readers,

Here's the long-awaited review on Etude House Sweet Recipe Collection - Dear My Jelly Lips Talk in JPK004 (Grapefruit Orange) ^o^ which I had bought during the 5th Anniversary Sales on 1st May 2013. You can check out the other colour aka JPK001 from Jerine's blog.

Unlike the Princess Etoinette Collection, Etude House has kept the design as simple as possible. I think the simplicity has made the lipstick look boring like its just another lipstick with a white cover but I love the heart shape emblem on the lipstick, its super super cute!!!!

Ingredient:

Before:

After:

As you can see from the above photo, there's a slight orange-y tint on my lips. I had only put on ONE (1) Swatch of the Jelly Lipstick. Compared to the before photo - my lip looks absolutely moiturised, the lines are not so obvious and the slight coloured tint is soo natural.

MORE SWATCHes:

Top: 1 Swatch , Bottom: 2 Swatch

Likes:
1. Keeps your lips moisturised
2. Non-oily
3. It gives you a very natural look (for those who doesn't like normal coloured lipstick , this would suit you very well)
4. Long lasting - Yes it stays on your lips for at least 6 hours without fading and no more stains on my glass!!

Dislikes:
1. The smell - its very similar to cough medicine but luckily there's no lingering smell after application.
2. Expensive - if there was no promotion then I wouldn't have gotten it - RM60 for a lipstick?

Love,

Well its something that I had wanted to try out and I finally got it - foot care sheet that removes keratin and korn effectively. I can't wait to try it out, my feet is in such bad condition that I had to think of ways to get rid  of the keratin. If the testing goes well then I'm going to use this 1 month before my wedding so that I'll have super nice and smooth feet!!!!

This is something to be excited about!!!! A nail remover for glitter nail polish that is f*king hard to remove. Do keep checking for a review soon :)

3. Etude House Magic Enzyme Pack Peeling (RM 65.90)

I did a little test on the spot and loved how it works on my hand, now all I have to do is try it on my face :P
